MiresBall and Qualcomm “Zoom Out” Together
MiresBall develops theme/visual program for BREW 2008

SAN DIEGO, March 25, 2008—Qualcomm will host its annual BREW Conference on May 28–30 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, and has again turned to MiresBall to develop the creative concept for the large-scale event.

The BREW Conference is Qualcomm’s largest event and the only industry forum dedicated to the wireless leader’s advanced data services platform. This year’s event is expected to attract over 2,700 members of BREW’s global ecosystem, including major carriers, handset manufacturers, high-profile media companies, industry analysts and press.

A leading brand strategy and visual design firm, MiresBall has served as the BREW creative partner for three annual conferences.

“MiresBall has been instrumental in guiding and building the BREW brand. The BREW Conference is a prime example. They consistently deliver razor-sharp creative that enables us to push the event to new heights,” explains Jana Peck, brand manager for BREW.

This year’s theme and visual program created by MiresBall highlights the forwarding-looking and empowering nature of the BREW solution.

The event’s evocative theme, “Zoom Out,” speaks to the broad technological and geographical impact of BREW. Moreover, it alludes to the consumer experience enabled by Qualcomm’s technology—anywhere, anytime access to virtually every type of media and social networking application.

The visual program for BREW 2008 reflects the modern, high-energy atmosphere of the event. A highly proprietary graphic style, created by combining dynamic photography with culturally relevant iconography, reinforces the personal empowerment enabled by Qualcomm technology. It literally shows consumers using their mobile phones to connect with the media, information and people that are important to them.

“BREW is driving the way data services are developed and delivered to consumers,” explained Scott Mires, principal/creative director of MiresBall. “For the 2008 Conference, we wanted to capture the almost endless possibilities enabled by the BREW solution and the overall sense of energy and excitement in today’s wireless community.”

To ensure consistent application of the visual program, MiresBall developed comprehensive style guidelines for the event, including specifications for print and online media, environmental graphics and marketing communications.
